Effective Collaboration in a Radically Changing Environment
The 12th Annual NOC IOC Retreat took place on 25 – 27 May 2010 at spiritual home of Penny hill Park, Surrey, UK.
Senior energy executives representing national resource holders, super majors and the service companies flew in from around the world to debate the key challenges facing the energy industry at this exclusive gathering. As usual, proceedings are subject to the Chatham House Rule of non-attribution and succeeded in generating unprecedented levels of frankness and open debate.
Topics discussed included the potential for new contractual engagement between NOCs and IOCs across the regions following the new Iraqi service contracts. The Retreat also saw parties looking at how we can attract talent to our industry and develop tomorrow’s leaders. Our distinguished participants also lent their views to what IOCs and NOCs can do to work towards energy solutions beyond petroleum.
As usual, the networking at the Retreat was first rate with elegant dinners, receptions, lunches and breaks hosted by our sponsors, as well as the inaugural NOC IOC Golf Tournament all held in the illustrious surroundings of Pennyhill Park.
As usual the Retreat served as a unique meeting place for energy industry progressive minds and served to push forward for solutions to the major challenges we face as an industry.
